School Programs

Birds are colourful, vocal, interesting to watch, and fairly easy to find. They also play critical roles in ecosystems, making them important indicators of environmental health. Birds are excellent educational tools to help bridge a growing disconnect between youth and nature.

Bird Studies Canada's school education programs aim to introduce students to birds and their importance through current research and Citizen Science. Our diverse programs make bird education accessible to a broad audience, leading to active involvement in conservation action for birds.
